The Story of the Engagement

For those of you who don’t know the story of our engagement allow us to share. After falling madly in love with Dielle, Matt foolishly decided to follow her to Winter-peg….I mean Winnipeg where they moved into their place and started their life together. Shortly after moving, Dielle sensed Matt was missing friends and family back home in Ontario so she decided to surprise him. One sunny morning Dielle took Matt on a surprise outing to a little town in Ontario just across the Ontario-Manitoba border, to sooth the home sickness. Along the way Dielle decided that “it would be the cutest” if they stopped along the border to take a thousand pictures with the border sign. It was there in that moment, with one foot in one province and the other foot in another, that Matt knew he needed to put a ring on it immediately. It wasn’t long after Matt was geared up with an engagement ring and a plan of action to ask the woman he loves to marry him. The plan was to go to Dielle’s parent’s cabin while Dielle’s brother set up a table with champagne and two glasses, however Dielle had other plans. Unaware that Matt was trying to plan a proposal Dielle had made the executive decision to drive past the cabin and go straight to the little Ontarian town since they were already in the car. Frantic that nothing was set up, Matt panicked and forced her to pull over at the border and get out to “take pictures”. Dielle turned around in a funny pose and when she turned back there was Matt, on one knee with a ring and a question. Here they are now asking all of you to join them as they stand up in front of their friends and family and promise the rest of their lives to each other.

Mayan Riviera

The Mayan Riviera is located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. It is famous for its beautiful blue Caribbean waters and stunning white sand beaches. The Mayan does have coral in its waters but this is where you will find amazing snorkeling! The Mayan has something for everyone! You can swim in the beautiful blue oceans, hang out at your resort, or venture off to one of the many sites the Mayan has to offer. Some of these include visiting Mayan ruins (Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum are the most popular), there are ecological parks such as Xcaret and Xel-ha, swimming in cenotes (natural sinkholes or rivers filled with fresh, cool crisp clear waters), take a visit to the islands of Isla Mujeres or Cozumel (voted some of the best snorkeling and diving in the Caribbean), just to give you a few ideas. For a full list of options please visit:  https://www.viator.com/?accountid=THJTGHJ&mcid=58086

At the Moon Palace Cancun, there are excursions that you are able to use your resort credit for. Please see the resort credit flyer first before booking an excursion so you don’t book an excursion that you could have used your credit for.

Excursions:

The excursion company that A Whole World To Travel is partnered with are partly owned by Trip Advisor and the excursions are rated by people who have actually done the excursions. They have been in business for over 20 years and have the largest database of destination products.

A few benefits to booking before you leave are the low price guarantee, less money to take with you on your trip (safer for you), better budgeting of your trip costs, budgeting of your time in destination, trusted excursions backed by a reputable company, no disappointment if an excursion is sold out and many skip the line excursions exclusive to them so that you are not wasting valuable vacation time standing in line instead of enjoying the destination.

If you are interested in booking an excursion, below is the link. You can book directly from the link, check off the box to send a copy to yourself and to the travel agent. Some excursions are confirmed immediately (over 75% of their product is confirmable the same day) and some may take a few days. A Whole World To Travel recommends booking a few months before you travel for the most up to date list and at least a week before your departure. It is full payment at time of booking for excursions. Here is the link: https://www.viator.com/?accountid=THJTGHJ&mcid=58086
